This exhibit intends to outline the size and infrastructures of six iconic megacities: New York City, São Paulo, Paris, Cairo, Mumbai, Shanghai and Tokyo, and to compare and contrast the ways they have developed and the pros and cons of living in megacities. As of this writing, there are 21 megacities in the world; by 2025, it is estimated there will be twenty-nine. The infrastructures in place cannot hold all these people.
These cities are highlighted not only for their megacity qualification, but also the iconic soul of each and the unique problems each possesses.
